The circumstances surrounding the death of a man in a house fire outside Whitehorse last month are suspicious, Whitehorse RCMP say.
Police investigators and the Ibex Valley fire department found the remains of Gordon Ross Seybold, 63, after extinguishing a blaze that destroyed his house on March 26.
The rural home was located on the old Alaska Highway area, in the Ibex Valley outside the Yukon capital.
In a release issued Saturday afternoon, RCMP said they are treating the case as a homicide.
