55,625 fewer joints in Yukon after drug bust

Yukon RCMP say they've made the biggest dope bust in the territory's history.
Police say they found 101 kilograms (225 pounds) of marijuana in a secret compartment in a skidoo deck when they stopped a vehicle on the Alaska Highway on Friday night.
Two men were arrested and the vehicle was seized during the bust.

Two Squamish, B.C., men were arrested and charged with one count of marijuana possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Police credit Justice, the police dog, for aiding in the bust. They didn't say what led them to stop the vehicle to make the search for the hidden drugs.
RCMP say the amount of marijuana seized equates to about 55,625 joints. They did not give a street value for the drug.
RCMP spokesman Sgt. Guy Rook says there's no doubt the drug bust is linked to organized crime, but he wouldn't speculate on links to a specific group.
He says the marijuana likely comes from B.C. It will be tested for purity and origin before police destroy the pot by burning it.
