RCMP seize marijuana, crack cocaine from N.W.T. residence
Resident of Hay River Reserve charged in connection to incident
A man from the K'atlodeeche First Nation Reserve near Hay River, N.W.T., faces charges in relation to drugs found at a residence there.
Police found the drugs on Jan. 2 following complaints about teens drinking at a residence.
When they went to the residence, they began a drug investigation. With a search warrant, they found more than three pounds of marijuana, as well as an unspecified quantity of crack cocaine, cash and other drug-related paraphernalia.
A 46-year-old male resident of the Hay River reserve has been charged in relation to the incident. He faces several drug-related charges, including possession of marijuana and cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
He has been released from police custody and will appear in court in Hay River on March 27.
