Rankin Inlet, Nunavut, man to be tried for manslaughter
A preliminary inquiry has determined there is enough evidence for a Nunavut man to be tried for manslaughter.
Colin Makpah, 28, is one of two men charged in the death of Donald Gamble in Rankin Inlet in 2010.
His preliminary inquiry ended this week in Iqaluit. He'll next appear in court on Feb. 4 to set a date for the trial. Abraham Nakoolak is also charged with manslaughter in Gamble's death. The two accused are being dealt with separately.
Nakoolak's next appearance in court is on Jan. 7.
