Quebec police are investigating a possible murder in Inukjuak, Que., after a 41-year-old woman was found dead in her home in the community Tuesday morning.
Sgt. Marie-Josee Ouellet of the Sûreté du Québec said members of the provincial police force were called in by the Kativik Regional Police after the woman was found dead at about 3 a.m.
A 16-year-old boy is being questioned by police and is considered an important witness.
A specialized team from the Sûreté du Québec is heading to the community, and an investigation is underway.
Inukjuak is a community of about 1,600 people on the eastern shore of Hudson Bay.
