A couple in Apex have started a cloth diaper business, hoping parents in Nunavut will make the switch from disposables.

Brad Chambers and his wife are the owners of Arctic Cotton, which sells diapers and baby products.

"I've seen statistics of the percentage of landfill that is disposable diapers and it's a lot more than you might guess," he said. "They're a huge part of the waste issue."

Parent Nicolas Raymond is a fan because of the feel, the environmental aspect and the cost.

"Every time you use up a cloth diaper, you save 50 cents and we've used those like hundreds of time," he said. "The more kids you have the more affordable it gets because it gets more efficient."

Chambers says cloth is a great option and they're willing to ship to anywhere in the territory.
