The Sûreté du Québec police say a Nunavik man faces sex-related charges involving minors.
A police spokesperson said the 49-year-old man from northern Quebec was arrested when his flight arrived at the Montreal airport on Friday evening.
The man is an employee of the Kativik Regional Government. A spokesperson for the Kativik Regional Government told CBC News that following advice from their lawyer, the employee has been put on administrative leave with pay for an undetermined period.
He has been released from custody and will appear in court in Quebec City on Aug. 7.
He faces four charges involving two minors.
