More than 20 firefighters responded when a fire broke out at a row house on Dolphin Street in Inuvik, N.W.T. last night.

It happened around 11:30 p.m.

The owner was inside at the time, but escaped unharmed.

As a precaution, the people living in the houses connected to that row house were evacuated.

Those people are now home; the fire did not spread to other units in the building.

All that's left outside the house is a burnt chair and a broken table. The windows and door are already boarded up.

The fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
