N.W.T. RCMP officer charged with fraud and forgery
A Yellowknife RCMP officer has been charged with fraud and forgery against his employer after a year-long investigation.
Const. Nathan White is charged with fraud under $5,000, forgery and uttering a forged document.
Police say they began their investigation in April 2013. White was suspended with pay in May of last year and remains suspended pending court and internal disciplinary processes.
The charges were laid on April 1. He will make his first appearance in court on May 13.
White joined the RCMP in 2007 and has served in Tuktoyaktuk and Yellowknife.
