An employee of the Northwest Territories Power Corporation was found dead at the Bluefish dam north of Yellowknife on Wednesday.
The body of Michael Dunn, 42, of Yellowknife was found at the staff house by someone dropping off materials.
Dunn was working alone at the site.
RCMP say there's no clear cause of death.
An official with the power corporation said the death does not appear to be work-related.
Investigators are waiting for the coroner's autopsy and toxicology reports.
Dunn had worked for the power corporation for the past two and a half years.
The Bluefish dam is about 50 kilometres northeast of Yellowknife.
