A 17-year-old Winnipeg girl has been found safe and sound.
Rhonda Ekwalak is believed to have ties to the Kivalliq region in Nunavut. She had been missing in the city since Boxing Day.
She was located in the city on Sunday.
"I think you'll note whenever the service puts out a request for assistance, these young people are often the most vulnerable of our society and we're always extremely happy when they're found safe and sound," said Winnipeg police Const. Eric Hofley.
Hofley said police were able to locate Ekwalak after someone saw the media release and contacted police.
