Loki, the part-wolf, part-dog that roamed Hay River freely for years, is now back home after breaking the steel lead affixed by his new owner.
Bonnie Dawson put out a call for help in recapturing the dog just before Christmas.
He was caught before noon on Monday.
Dawson is the founder of Action for the Protection of Northern Animals and a co-founder of the Canadian Animal Welfare Coalition.
She took Loki in when the town of Hay River was preparing to destroy him.
Catching Loki the first time wasn't easy. Dawson hired a professional animal wrangler from Los Angeles to help her.
Loki the dog has many friends outside of Hay River.
