Iqaluit municipal services closed Thanksgiving Monday

Iqaluit's municipal government says city services will be closed on holiday Monday, but emergency fire and ambulance services will be open as normal.

The City of Iqaluit will not be providing municipal services on Thanksgiving Monday.

The city government is asking homes with trucked services to conserve water by doing less laundry and not using the dishwasher.

The city is also suggesting that people take showers rather than baths. The call out fee for water delivery on Monday is $250.

City of Iqaluit offices will also be closed, but fire and ambulance services will be operating as they normally would. The emergency dispatch number is 979 5650.
