Nunavut’s chief coroner has released the names of the two people who died in a rowhouse fire last month in Iqaluit.

Andrew Papatsie, 27, and Connie Papatsie, 25, were identified by autopsy Monday.

Their remains were found about a week ago in the rubble of the building.

Police say the exact cause of death has yet to be confirmed, and toxicology test results could take several more weeks.

Police say investigators are finished at the scene. They still need to examine some of the evidence gathered before they can determine the cause of the fire.
