Inuit in northern Quebec will go to the polls on Jan. 17.

They'll elect a Vice President and a Corporate Secretary for the Makivik Corporation, the regional government body representing Inuit in Nunavik.

Nominations for the positions closed on Monday.

Two people are running for Vice-President — Adamie Alaku and incumbent Michael Gordon.

Current corporate secretary Andy Moorehouse is seeking re-election.  He’s being challenged by Daniel Epoo, Sara Airo, and Maggie Putulik.

Both positions are three year terms.
