Hay River taxi driver charged with impaired driving
Female driver's breath sample was 4 times the legal limit
A Hay River taxi driver has been charged with impaired driving after she drove into a snowbank in the early hours of Jan. 5.
RCMP say they responded to a report at about 1 a.m. and breath samples were provided by the driver, which were found to be four times the legal limit.
The 41-year-old woman was arrested for impaired care and control of a motor vehicle.
She was later released and is scheduled to appear in court in March.
In a press release, the RCMP reminded the public to never enter a vehicle with an intoxicated driver.
