Crack cocaine and marijuana seized from West Channel-area home
A 19-year-old Hay River, N.W.T., man has been charged with five offences, including drug trafficking, after police searched a home in the community on Wednesday.
RCMP seized 30 grams of crack cocaine, 30 grams of marijuana, as well as a significant quantity of cash and drug paraphernalia during a search of a home in the West Channel area around 1 p.m.
A man has been charged with trafficking a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and possession of the proceeds of crime.
He appeared before a Justice of the Peace and was released. His next court appearance is scheduled for April 18 in Hay River.
