Girl, 17, faces murder charge in N'Dilo stabbing death
21-year-old stabbed on Saturday morning
A 17-year-old girl charged in connection with a stabbing death in N'Dilo over the weekend made two brief court appearances today.
The girl, who cannot be identified because of her age, is charged with second degree murder in the death of a 21-year-old man Saturday morning.
N'Dilo is a First Nation Community bordering. Yellowknife. RCMP responded to a call in the community a little after 8 a.m. on Saturday morning after a 21-year-old male had been stabbed.
The man died later at Stanton Territorial Hospital in Yellowknife. The name of the victim has not been released.
Several units from several divisions of the RCMP are investigating.
In court on Tuesday, the prosecutor handling the case said he is going to ask that the girl be held in custody.
