The Fort Smith hospital has been on back-up generator power since Wednesday afternoon, after a suspected problem with a transformer.

NTPC says the problems with the hospital's power supply may be due to a faulty transformer, and that a line crew is doing tests on it.

NTPC says it can't estimate how long it may take to solve the problem. It says it is also working to get the hospital an additional back-up generator in case it is needed.
