Former Yukon MP Larry Bagnell says he will run for the Liberal nomination for the next federal election.

After serving for 10 years as the Yukon's Liberal Member of Parliament, Bagnell lost a squeaker to Conservative Ryan Leef in the 2011 federal election. Bagnell lost by 132 votes.

"A lot of people have asked me to run again, encouraged me to run and I think they really they want a rematch," he said.

So far the Liberal Party hasn't set a date for its Yukon nomination meeting.
