A woman accused of running over a 90-year-old woman at a crosswalk last week in Yellowknife has been released on bail.
Toni Lynn Buggins-Godin is charged with driving while disqualified, careless driving and failing to yield to a pedestrian.
She was released this morning, after her husband agreed to post $1,000 bail.
The elderly woman suffered a fractured skull, broken ribs and a collapsed lung after she was pinned underneath the vehicle, and remains in hospital in Edmonton.
Under the terms of her release, Buggins-Godin must stay at her home in Hay River, N.W.T.
