Dawson City contractor sues sewage plant builder
Han Construction says it's only been paid half of what it's owed
A Dawson City contractor is suing the builders of the town's sewage treatment plant, saying it's only been paid half of what it's owed for work it did on the treatment plant.
Han Construction filed the lawsuit in Yukon Supreme Court just before Christmas.
Lawyers for the First Nation say it had a $5.4 million contract with Corix Construction. The First Nation says only $2.7 million has been paid to date, and Corix has ignored invoices for the balance.
Corix has not yet responded to the claims.
There's no word on when the case might be heard in court.
