Northwest Territories biathlete Brendan Green won’t be competing today in the Sochi Olympics.

Green was set to race the men's 15K biathlon this morning after heavy fog forced officials to cancel the race on Sunday, but the fog still hadn’t lifted.

The race is now scheduled to go ahead on Tuesday at 3:30 MT.

It will be Green's fourth event at the 2014 Winter Olympics.

Cockney places 12th, Nishikawa 14th

Green’s fellow Northern Olympian Jesse Cockney took part in the men’s 4x10 kilometre cross-country ski relay over the weekend. Team Canada placed 12th out of 16 teams. You can watch the complete replay of that event here

On Saturday, Yukoner Emily Nishikawa took part in the women’s 4x5 kilometre cross-country ski relay. Team Canada placed last in that place, behind Ukraine and Austria. Watch the full replay of that race here
