Autopsy ordered as Whitehorse RCMP 'sudden death' investigation continues

Yukon's coroner says an autopsy will be conducted on Wednesday on the body of a man who died last week in Whitehorse's McIntyre subdivision.

An autopsy will be done Wednesday on the body of a man who died last week in a home in Whitehorse's McIntyre subdivision.

RCMP and the Yukon coroner continue to investigate what they've called the "sudden death" of the 49-year-old man. The name of the deceased has not been released.

Police have said they were called to a home in the Kwanlin Dün First Nation neighbourhood at about 3 a.m. Friday morning.

They've released no other details about the circumstances surrounding the man's death, or their investigation.

The autopsy will be done at the Vancouver General Hospital.
