Arctic Air holds giant garage sale in B.C.
Production company sells off props and costumes
There will be a unique liquidation sale this weekend in Aldergrove, B.C. — all the props that are used to make CBC-TV's Arctic Air look authentic are now up for grabs.
The show, which starred Adam Beach and Pascale Hutton, was cancelled last month after three seasons.
The production company is selling everything from parkas and traditional clothing to office furniture and airplanes.
Joanna Dunn, the program's art director for seasons one and two, and the production designer for season three, says she purchased a lot of the Northern art used in the show and has her eye on a few other items.
"There's one item that is probably my favourite," she said. "It's Dene beading surrounded by antlers and I just love it. I put my name on it right away."
Dunn is expecting a big crowd at this weekend's sale. She says staff and fans are eager to take home part of the show they enjoyed watching and working on.
