77-year-old cyclist struck by vehicle in hit-and-run
Fort Smith woman medevaced to Yellowknife, later released from hospital
A 77-year-old cyclist was the victim of a hit and run in Fort Smith, N.W.T., on Tuesday.
Police say the woman was riding a bicycle on Wilderness Road at around 3 p.m. when she was struck by a vehicle. The vehicle left the scene, leaving the woman on the side of the road.
The woman was transported to the Fort Smith hospital by ambulance and then medevaced to Stanton Territorial Hospital in Yellowknife.
She has since been released from hospital.
RCMP say they have seized a vehicle, but have made no arrests.
