People fishing on Yukon's Lake Laberge discovered a body floating near the Lake Laberge campground Thursday evening around 7 p.m.
Police say the deceased is a 72-year-old man from B.C.'s lower mainland, who had been kayaking on the Yukon River.
Investigators have determined the man's kayak overturned, but he was unable to rescue himself. Police say the man was wearing a life-jacket and was paddling alone. No foul play is suspected.
Police are withholding the man's name, pending contact of next of kin.
