A young boy appears to have suffered no serious injuries after being hit by a pickup truck pulling a trailer on the streets of Yellowknife.
An eyewitness told CBC News the incident happened just after 10 o'clock Wednesday morning. A five-year-old boy was driving his bike with another friend on Knutsen Avenue when he drove in front of the vehicle.
The boy was hit by the truck and dragged several feet. The witness says she ran out to help, and then called the police and an ambulance.
The boy was taken to the hospital, and is believed to have suffered no serious injuries. The boy was wearing a helmet, which the witness says probably saved the his life.
