$40K of bikes stolen from Cadence Cycle in Whitehorse

Whitehorse RCMP are investigating after 16 high-end bicycles were stolen from Cadence Cycle on Wood Street over the weekend.

Whitehorse RCMP are investigating after about $40,000 worth of bicycles were stolen from Cadence Cycle on Wood Street over the weekend.

RCMP Const. Dean Hoogland says a caller noticed the glass in the store's front door was broken and phone police at 7:30 on Sunday morning. 

"Further investigation within the store found that there were a number of bicycles stolen, all high-end bikes," he said.

Missing are:

  • 4 various sizes of Specialized Stump Jumpers
  • 2 Specialized Camber bikes
  • 1 Specialized P20 BMX
  • 2 Banshee bikes
  • 4 Rocky Mountain bikes
  • 1 Salsa bike
  • 1 Soda bike
  • 1 Cadet BMX bike 

Hoogland says some bicycle accessories were also taken as well as cash from the till.
