3 Hay River women arrested for marijuana possession

RCMP in Hay River have arrested three women on a number of drug-related charges after finding more than 200 grams of marijuana ready for sale and a significant amount of cash.

RCMP in Hay River have arrested three women on a number of drug-related charges.

Police executed a search warrant on a Hay River home on Wednesday and found more than 200 grams of marijuana ready for sale, along with a significant amount of cash.

Three women  a 49-year-old, 26-year-old and 21-year-old  are facing a number of charges including possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

RCMP also discovered that a young child was living in the home.

The child has been taken into care by local Social Services.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact Hay River RCMP.
