Three teachers have pleaded guilty to having liquor in the dry community of Coral Harbour, Nunavut.

Jessica Evans, Erin Sallie and Rick Aucoin have been ordered to pay fines ranging from $600 to $1,000 within the next six months under the Nunavut Liquor Act.

Evans and Sallie are teachers at Sakku School in the community; Aucoin is the school's vice principal.

Liquor was found in the two teachers' homes last February after a break-in.

Aucoin voluntarily came forward admitting the possession of alcohol.

Two youth, who cannot be named, were found guilty of break-and-enters on the same day the liquor was found.

The youth will not face fines or jail time.
