A two-year-old boy has been killed after a truck struck him in Yellowknife Saturday.
Sana'a Michael Christensen-Blondin was playing in the yard of a welding company in the Kam Lake area when the incident happened, says his mother Jocelyn Christensen.
The welding company is owned by a family friend.
Witnesses say a truck pulled forward and ran over the boy.
Christensen says her son was struck around 2 p.m. and was pronounced dead in hospital less than an hour later.
The RCMP are investigating the incident.
