Two teens have been arrested and charged with assaulting a delivery man in Behchoko, N.W.T., two weeks ago.

The man was delivering parcels to the Northern store at around 5 a.m. Sunday, April 21 when he was attacked and seriously beaten. He was taken to Stanton Territorial Hospital in Yellowknife for treatment and has since been released from hospital.

RCMP have charged Lawrence Junior Drygeese, 19, of Behchoko with assault causing bodily harm and failing to comply with an undertaking.

A 16-year-old male from Behchoko has also been charged with assault causing bodily harm, but his name cannot be released because of his age.

The teens will appear in court on July 9.
