14-year-old Rankin Inlet girl medevaced after hit and run
RCMP say alcohol is considered a factor, after the girl was hit by an all-terrain vehicle
RCMP have made an arrest following a hit and run in Rankin Inlet, Nunavut, that sent a 14-year-old girl to hospital in Winnipeg.
The incident happened on April 20, when the girl was hit by an all-terrain vehicle. She was medevaced out of the community shortly after that.
Const. Christopher Main of the Rankin Inlet RCMP detachment said alcohol is considered a factor.
Main could not confirm the conditions of the girl, or if she's still in Winnipeg or back home in Rankin Inlet.
Police have not yet released the name of the person who was arrested.
