The next generation of moose hunters, biathletes and soldiers attended the Young Hunters Workshop at the St. John's Rod and Gun Club.

The province’s wildlife division held the event June 9 for people12-to-17 years old.

It was a rare a chance for young people to fire shotguns and rifles with professional supervision for the first time.

The CBC's Beth Macdonell was at the workshop with a camera and a microphone.
