A worker sustained an injury at a downtown St. John's construction site on Friday morning.

The worker suffered a dislocated shoulder during the incident at the site where a 12-storey Fortis Properties tower is being built near Springdale Street and New Gower Street.

Emergency officials did not have immediate details on what caused the injury.

In October 2012, a construction worker fell to his death at the site. A second worker from the site died hours later, although that death was attributed to health reasons.
