Woman causes trouble at Brookfield Fire Station
Police are trying to determine why a woman went on a rampage at a St. John's fire station.
It happened shortly before 6:30 Friday morning in the west end of the city.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary said they responded to the area of the Brookfield Fire Station on Topsail Road after receiving a report of a woman who was "screaming and running out into traffic."
It's alleged the 24-year-old also went inside the fire station and caused damage, including setting off fire extinguishers.
The woman was arrested by police and charged with causing a disturbance, malicious damage, resisting arrest and breaking court orders.
She was held in custody pending a court appearance.
The incident occurred early Friday, but only came to light in the RNC's daily report which was released early Saturday morning.
