Whale rendition of O Canada hauntingly beautiful

Have you ever wondered what whales singing O Canada sounds like? Probably not, but now you can with the latest tourism ad from Newfoundland and Labrador.
To celebrate Canada Day, the province has compiled a series of real whale sounds composed in a unique take on ‘O Canada’ 1:41

Have you ever wondered what whales singing O Canada sounds like? Probably not, but now you can with the newest installment from Newfoundland and Labrador's tourism campaign.

Awarded for its breathtaking, scenic videos to promote the province, Newfoundland and Labrador Tourism is known to wow.

But this latest video goes the extra mile, with whale vocalization edited together to echo the national anthem.

The video was released on YouTube Tuesday, leading up to Canada's 148th birthday.

You don't have to go far off the coast of Newfoundland to find a whale at this time of year (a singing whale may pose a challenge), with the marine mammals putting on shows for tour operators and their guests this month.
