Home video recorded in a small community in Newfoundland's Green Bay shows how quickly a fire overwhelmed a shed, before turning into a forest fire.
The blaze started Tuesday in a shed at Nicky's Nose Cove, near King's Point.
The video, provided by a CBC audience member, shows how the fire spread quickly to nearby homes, reducing two to ash and damaging another.
The wind whipped up the flames, which spread to nearby trees and then turned into an out-of-control forest fire.
About two dozen volunteer firefighters helped fight the fire, along with a provincial fire crew. Phone service was also knocked out.
