The Transportation Safety Board of Canada is investigating an incident that claimed the life of a fisherman off Newfoundland's northeast coast last Friday.
RCMP said Pleman Strickland, 42, died when he got caught up in a fishing net on the Lady Jenna II, and was then pulled overboard into the water.
The incident happened about 280 kilometres off Bonavista.
The TSB, which investigates serious incidents involving marine, rail and transportation, said Monday that it is deploying a team to Bonavista.
The RCMP are continuing their own investigation into the incident, although the force said in a statement this weekend that it does not suspect foul play in the incident.
