A Torbay man who admits he has a problem with drinking and driving was sent to a jail cell Tuesday, after he was sentenced for repeatedly refusing breathalyzer tests.

Chad Tapper, 38, was sentenced to 15 months in jail over three counts of refusing a breathalyzer.

During one of the incidents, Tapper was in a vehicle with his 13-year-old daughter.

Tapper, who has four prior convictions for refusing a breathalyzer and one for impaired driving, is also prohibited from driving for the next 10 years.

Tapper will also be on probation for a year when he is released from jail.
