Tobin named vice-chair with BMO

BMO Capital Markets, which is the investment and corporate banking arm of BMO Financial Group, has hired former premier Brian Tobin as its vice-chair.

Former premier Brian Tobin has landed another corporate appointment.

BMO Capital Markets, the investment and corporate arm of BMO Financial Group, has hired Tobin as its vice-chairman.

The company says his responsibilities will include senior client coverage and business development.

Tobin will be based in Toronto, and report to Darryl White, the global head of investment and corporate banking with BMO, formerly the Bank of Montreal.

Tobin has served on several corporate boards since quitting politics in 2000.
