Theft at St. John's convenience store leads to arrest
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary charged a man on Saturday, following a report of a theft in progress in St. John's.
Police responded to the call at a convenience store in the west end of the city around 2 p.m.
The RNC charged a man, 38, with theft under $5,000, breaches of probation and resisting arrest.
He was detained in police lockup overnight for a court appearance Sunday morning.
