Text messaging threats under investigation
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is investigating a complaint involving alleged threats via text messages.
Police received the report around 8 p.m. Friday, from a resident of Mount Moriah, who said they received threats from a person who is temporarily located in Labrador City.
Subsequently, with the assistance of the RCMP, a 41-year-old male resident of Corner Brook was charged with uttering threats to cause bodily harm.
Because the alleged threat initiated within the Labrador West area, the accused was charged and released, with conditions to appear in provincial court in Wabush at a later date.
