Four people charged with one armed robbery and suspected of committing two others in the St. John's area last weekend were back in provincial court Monday.

Gordon White, Devon Hart, Aleshia O'Regan and Justin James Anderson were arrested after a robbery at a gas bar on Elizabeth Avenue around 3 a.m. Saturday.

Two other heists, one at a Subway restaurant in Mount Pearl and another at a Tim Hortons on Portugal Cove Road, took place in a 30 minute timeframe. Those robberies are still under investigation, but police believe the four suspects were connected.

All four made brief appearances in provincial court Saturday. Each was charged with one count of armed robbery.

White and Hart were sent for 24-hour psychiatric assessments.

On Monday, Hart and O'Regan were remanded in custody. White and Anderson will reappear for bail hearings on Thursday

No one was injured during the incidents.
