Accused serial rapist Sofyan Boalag has been denied bail again.

Boalag is charged with sexually assaulting five women and a girl under 16 in St. John's last year.

He had already been denied bail once, but was entitled to another bail hearing after new charges were laid. That hearing concluded last Friday in provincial court.

Judge James Walsh made his decision in denying bail on Tuesday.

In total, Boalag is facing 23 charges related to the alleged sex offences, including sexual assault causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon and carrying a concealed weapon.

He is back in court Oct. 28.
