Child finds bloody needles in Tim Hortons bathroom

A 10-year-old boy discovered two bloody syringes at the Tim Hortons in Lewisporte on Friday morning.
RCMP Const. Donald Matthews said the boy found the needles in the washroom.
"[The] little boy was fine, he had his wits about him, and was smart enough not to pick the needles up, and to notify an adult right away," said Matthews.
The boy told his grandmother about the needles, and she alerted staff.
RCMP said anyone who comes across a syringe should leave it alone and tell authorities, who can get rid of it.
Police have been following leads to find the owner of the needles, and to remind the person of how to properly dispose of them.
