RCMP said the death of a Hillview hunter on Monday near Old Bonaventure appears to be accidental.
Lloyd Chesley Brown, 63, was turr hunting on a boat with another man when the incident occurred.
The other man lost his balance on the boat and his shotgun discharged, shooting Brown in the back.
The police investigation is ongoing, but no charges are expected.
