An autopsy is scheduled for Monday on a teenager who died in a fire on the Port au Port Peninsula early Sunday morning.
The Cape St. George volunteer fire department was called to a house in De Grau, just before 6 am.
Even though emergency responders arrived within 10 minutes of being called, they were not quick enough to save the life of a 17-year-old girl.
Community members have called the incident tragic.
RCMP said Sunday they were still investigating what happened.
