Woman killed in highway accident

A woman was killed Tuesday morning in a car accident just west of Clarenville.
The collision happened on the Trans-Canada Highway on the Shoal Harbour River Bridge.
RCMP said it appeared that a pick-up truck driven by a man crossed the centre line, and collided with another pick-up.
The female passenger in the second truck was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim's name has not been released.
The two male drivers were taken to hospital in Clarenville with unknown injuries.
The highway was closed for about an hour Tuesday morning while emergency workers responded to the accident.
